Zeal for golf
Never thought there will be a day I would turn into a golf nut. And here I am, having itch all over my body and keep looking out for sign of rain from my balcony. 3 hours ago the forecast said there would be rain with thunder. WHERE IS THE RAIN???!!! If the forecast said "no rain", I will surely pack my golf bag and race to the golf course 3 hours ago. Too bad, it is getting dark now…
Oh…this week is my golf PC test and I am so stressed out. Have been drilling for the past 9 lessons and the final showdown is just around the corner! I have been practising only once a week, how to pass??? When I asked my coach why my swing was inconsistent, he answered:"Have you clocked more than 50 hours of practice?" *so guilty*
It is the first sport that I am ‘addicted’ to. It happened all the way back to 2001 when William happily woke me up at 7 am and dragged me to Karrawara golf course. It is a public golf course and walking distance from my university. It is open to public and beautifully maintained.
I have been taking lessons from this new public golf course (just open in September) near east coast – Marina Bay Golf Course. It is a 18-hole golf course and has 4 levels of driving range. The scenery is great although the trees are still very small. And guess what? S$3.15 for 50 balls!
Last week was our first time going to the green. Never thought it would be so stressful to play on the green especially counting the strokes.
I had gastric pain at the first hole but I started to feel relaxed after the second hole. The worst thing was my ball went into the bunker twice. I got it out with one stroke the first time but not so lucky for the second time. *argh* But still, the best was to drive the buggy around the course.
Fellow golf mates (me in cap)

Our lucky 28
And this was taken during the video analysis session where our coach analysed and corrected our swings. It was not easy to play in front of a bloody camera!

Man….let me pass my PC test pleeeeeaaassseee…
