When I am writing this blog, my house is spotless and sparkling clean. I spent the whole morning and afternoon cleaning, brushing, washing, mopping, sweeping…I even hand washed my laundry! And once a while, listening to my neighbour ‘screaming’ at his microphone. Yeah, he has karaoke session every sunday morning for goodness sake. I wonder if he takes part in Singapore Idol. Eew…he is soooo not going to make it!

When I woke up this morning and looked out the window, so many things went through my mind plus some reflections on my dreams. It was funny that I woke up with such deep thoughts. The next minute I knew, I had started cleaning my house. You must be thinking I am nuts by hand washing my laundry but, whenever I hand wash my clothes, I get to think, reflect, plan, analyse and generate ideas. If I am confused with things, I will clean my house because it helps to straighten my mind, sort out the confusions and analyse people’s behaviours.

Oh..did I tell you that I love ironing? It is weird that ironing has such a positive effect on me when I need to release stress. Looking at the wrinkles being ironed out as if it has ironed out my thought as well. You should try it next time but you need to do it with a peace of mind. =) Man..I am talking like some stress management guru.

When I told my colleagues that I love ironing, each one of them wanted me to iron their laundry. =)

Anyway, after I finished cleaning and washing, I was very relaxed as if I have unloaded all my troubles. Now, I just sit back with a glass of wine, listen to Corrinne May’s ‘Everything in its time’ and absolutely proud of myself. =)

Something that I want to share with you from the song I am listening.

Sometimes I wonder what lies ahead
How long till my hunger is fed
They say it’s hard to make it in this part of town
So many people on this merry-go-round

Some folks try astrology
Some turn to crystal balls
To find an answer,
To get through it all
I just fall on my knees and I try to pray
In the silence I can hear Him say

The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience and watch for the sign
Everything in its time

Yeah..everything in its time.
