Virtual terrorists in Second Life

“A group of armed militants forced their way into an American Apparel clothing store and shot several customers before planting a bomb outside a Reebok store…”
And it all happened in Second Life.
I blogged about using Second Life as an e-learning tool in May, whether going virtually was good or bad.
Before we could even draw a conclusion, this was what happened just weeks ago.
It makes me wonder how angry people are nowadays. They are just so desperate to find a channel to do vices that they are eagerly to do in real life. That really makes me sick!

That is pretty sick, if u ask me.
I sincerely hope they treat Second Life as an outlet to vent their frustrations and not replicate the same in real life!

Even in a separate reality, users who use this program might eventually use this as a platform to “live”. What difference does it make to a dream world like the Matrix system in the famous movie of the same title? Would this mean that maybe, people might abandon their true lives just to live in some separate reality where things happen their way, and they do whatever they want?
