“The” connotation
Sigh…sometimes I don’t know what my students are thinking.
In class..I said to my student who needed a sound recording for his project..
Me: How? Do you want to go to my office? You can use the sound recording room.
Him: Ok..may be later..
2 hours later…from far..
Me: (at the top of my voice) I am going up now! How? You want to meet me upstairs??
Him: Giving me that “huh” look.
Me: Clenched my fist to mimic a holding-a-mic action and put near to my mouth, signalling that “YOU KNOW….SOUND RECORDING?!?!”
Him: (with eyes wide open) Cher…you sounded so wrong…*chuckled*
Me: What??!!?? What did I say??
Him: *chuckled* Nothing..It is what you do that…is so wrong..*grin*
Then, half class broke into laughters.
It took me almost 3 hours to figure out.

I dunno Ms Cherry.. I dislike this track of thinking most teenagers have these days. And I find it disturbing that this track of mind starts really young (bet primary school kids are a little like that.. maybe.. some of them..), and goes on till.. pretty late (even up to poly level.. or worse, later). And don’t worry, I think I might do just the same thing, and take just as long to figure it out.
.. actually I don’t think I’ll ever figure it out, cause.. I’m just that slow, haha.

Ms Cherry, I think you need a short course on what not to do in front of students lest in case they take it the wrong way. I give you the first lesson free
I am always v conscious of my actions and what I say because knowing the kids of today, everything gets taken the WRONG/DIRTY way. Tsk tsk.

Youth nowadays are more sexually educated than you might think. Do not be surprised at how young they learn about filthy things. It really happens.
Actions are one thing – be extremely cautious about your words, too! A good example would be “the pen is on the table”!
