While I was having dinner, my phone rang..

“Babe, our prayers are answered…” Nat from the other said.

“What??!! What prayers??!!”

“You know what…I’ve found you keys. Hehehe..” She chuckled.

I was so emotional and tears just kept rolling down. Imagine, it happened in a restaurant and I was screaming and tearing in joy…ON THE PHONE!

I felt so bad for the diners around me.-_-

“Where did you find it?”

———————————————————————————————–
You see, last Friday after work, I went home with Natasha. We were supposed to go for a bowling competition and I needed to get changed. When I was reaching my house, I was frantically looking for my house keys and it was no where to be found.

I was locked outside the house and thank God, the estate officer has not left for the day so she opened the door for me with a spare key.

I couldn’t recall where I lost my keys. Nat helped to look around while I was busy contacting the estate people. I was worried that someone has picked up my keys near my house and knew where I stayed. Worse, that bunch has my office keys as well.

I didn’t want to leave my house and we didn’t get to go for bowling. (hence our team scored 0, but who care? My safety was more important then)

So fast forward to Monday. I called many places to ask if my keys were found and left my contact number to almost every department I could find at work.

I kept asking myself: Why would anyone take my keys and doesn’t return to me or to lost and found? Somehow I just couldn’t believe that I wouldn’t find my keys.

I was asked to change all the locks in my house and that would cost me S$500 plus. To replace the rest of the keys would cost me another S$100.

Guess what where the keys were.

Natasha’s pouch.

And guess who placed it there?

ME!!!

Why?? I had no idea. But I guess I borrowed her keys to open some rooms and when I wanted to return the keys to her, I placed my own keys in her pouch instead. And later on, I saw her keys in my bag and I “conveniently” passed them to her without recalling that I “had already returned” the keys before.

Nat said she had “involuntary” become the culprit whom I had been “scolding” and questioning why “that person” did not return the keys. I felt so guilty.

Talk about aging…this, is definitely one of the signs….:(

Wait, where is my key??
