Suddenly…I ‘had’ a relative from the UK.
And when I found out about him, his family and himself are already DEAD, in a car accident. Well..at least that was what his ‘personal attorney’ said.
My ‘relative’, Pitts Thian worked with a Steel Company in the UK. According his ‘solicitor,
“On the 21st of April 2002, my client, his wife and their only daughter were involved in a car accident along sagbama express road. All occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost there lives.
After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to track his last name over the Internet,to locate any member of his family hence I contacted you. (Smart move! I am sure a ‘unique’ surname like mine…is quite hard to come by huh..)
I have contacted you to assist in repartrating the fund valued at GBP 1.1 million left behind by my client before it gets confisicate or declared unserviceable by the the Finance Company where this huge amount was deposited. The said Finance company has issued me a notice to provide the next of kin or have the account confisicate within the next fourteen official working days.
For the fact that I have been unsuccesfull in locating the relatives for over 4 years now, I seek your consent to be presented as the next of kin to the deceased, since you have the same last name with my client, so that the proceeds of this account can be paid to you. “
Suddenly I am going to be 1.1 million richer, oh wait..SGD 3 millions…JUST because of my surname. Ah…so nice…
