Received a letter from UNSW 2 days ago and guess what it is..

A COMMENDATION LETTER from the DEAN!

He congratulated me for my academic excellence in previous semester. In another words, I’M ON THE DEAN’S LIST!

My heart was pumping like crazy horse! Because really, I have never thought it would happen. First, to be included on the List, a student must be enrolled in full-time mode (means taking min. 3 subjects per semester) and secondly, must achieve at least average mark of at least 85. I missed by 1 mark.

The saddest part is…I am invited to attend an hour afternoon tea session with the Dean to celebrate this achievement next Tuesday. Unfortunately, I am 3925 miles away from Sydney. If only…if only an air ticket would fly from the sky and with my name printed on it.

I guess I just have to miss the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity…
