Ya, who likes anyway. But sometimes, it is good to show some grace and respect while others are queueing patiently too.

I was looking for a country or island to spend my long weekend (for labour day and wesak day). First choice: Bali–>SQ is fully booked. Second choice: Phuket–>Silk air is fully booked. Third choice: Taiwan–>not enough time to go around.

Conclusion: To Francis Yip’s concert (mothers’ day)

So yeah, back to the queueing thing. There was a travel packages promotion at the shopping complex where I bought my dinner from. A very nice lady attended me and went through all the packages they offered. Half way through, there was this fat uncle sat down at another table waiting to be attended. But obviously he was a very troublesome customer, and the other lady who was a trainee could not handle him. So he was placed in a queue, waiting for the lady who was serving me.

He kept bugging and complaining about why the lady spent so long attending me. She was so nice that she walked over and apologised to him many times and told him that she won’t take long. Then, he was so mad that he scolded the nice and helpless lady (the one who was serving me). I was pretty upset and pity the lady for being so kind and sweet. The next thing was, I stood up, and walked to the uncle and said as graceful as I can:"Sir, she won’t take long.."

The uncle and the lady were stunned for a moment. Then the uncle was blushing and said:"Er…awhile is..OK lar.." Then I smiled and turned to lady. "It’s alright, I can get all the flyers from the stand myself. I will call you again to make the booking."

And again, the lady apologised and thanked me for saving her a*s. =)
