Happy New Year!!

I just remembered to set goals and resolutions after typing my title. 0_0

I was trying to recall what I have done in 2007. After searching high and low in my memory archives, I realised I couldn’t remember much! I told my mom:”Gosh!! I have been living my life in these 2 years like flipping a book – no details!!”

I had lunch with 3 of my colleagues yesterday and found out that I wasn’t the ONLY one who lived like this. We realised that sometimes we couldn’t even remember what we did last weekend. Hah!

It is like watching “National Treasures” in the fast-forward mode – a 2-hour show in 30 minutes. I don’t want to live like Adam Sandler in the movie “Click”!

DON’T press the FAST-FORWARD button!!

But my 1 week holiday in Penang feels like a 3-weeks holiday and I enjoyed every second of it.

It is also the first time in these 4 years that my family stayed under the same roof for as long as 1 week. We didn’t go anywhere nor have big Christmas celebration this year. But it was all so great to have each other almost 24 hours a day.

I missed the hour that all of us knocked out for afternoon nap, talking nonsense over meals and laughing at each other’s lame jokes.

I am glad that my parents didn’t choose work over us when my sis and I were younger. They have given us countless beautiful and unforgettable memories.

But now, I don’t think we have done the same for our family. My sis and I have chosen work over them. We insist of doing our work on laptops during family gatherings. We always make them wait.

“Give me 10 minutes!!”

But our 10 minutes always stretch to 10 mins + x mins.

My sister is guilty as charged. I didn’t do it this time. I refused to turn on my laptop!

How long more do we get to enjoy each other’s company like this?

More to come….1) My new haircut! 2) Our bone cracking session (Ouch!)
