My first new year resolution -> SLEEP
It was my 4th night missing my sleep cycle since saturday. Not because I didn’t want to sleep but my brain refused to shut down once I hit the sack.
You know how painful and frustrated it is to miss your sleep? Especially when you still need to go to work the next day. Hearing the birds chirping louder as the clock ticks and the traffic getting busier…I feel like asking someone to punch me in the head so I can pass out.
It wasn’t new though if you remember this entry. I have encountered temporary insomia at least once a month in the past 6 months. It wasn’t as bad though.
I have tried all sorts of methods and stuff to get a good night sleep. But what do you do when all the following are not working anymore?

Last night, I decided to see a doctor to “end my torment”. So I said to my mom..
“Mee, you going with me? I don’t want the doctor to think I’m some addictive girl who use some lame excuses to get sleeping pills…”
I was greeted by a super young doctor. The first thing he said was…”WE DO NOT CARRY SLEEPING PILLS IN THIS CLINIC.”
SEE!! I knew it!!
After asking many “must-ask” questions, he concluded that..
“May be you should stop watching TV or use computer before you sleep. They are too…MIND STIMULATING.”
“MIND STIMULATING!!?? But I have been doing so for the past..mmm..5 years!!”
“Well, it could be also that you’ve missed some of your usual activities such as brushing teeth. Once you break the routine, it could disrupt the natural sleep cycle.”
“Because we don’t carry sleeping pills..I will give you some medication that will initiate your sleep cycle.”
He mentioned the sleeping pills again…*sigh*
“Try it for 3 days. If it doesn’t work, I will have to refer you to a PSYCHIATRIST.”
PSYCHIATRIST!!!??? *gulp* I am no psycho man…
But thanks to these pills, I managed to sleep through the night, plus the morning. Hopefully after 3 days, my “natural sleep cycle” would resume.

Oh no, better take care of yourself as you seem to get sick easily. Glad that the pills work else you might really end up seeing a Psychiatrist.
Bless You.

Haha… Have you tried to stop taking those pills and do some exercises. E.g. go to the gym? I hope you can find a solution to it.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I’ve read your music choices as well, I would say our preference can be as close as 98%!! As I am a classical guitarist, I have grouped Spanish music together with classical music, and Brazilian music with Jazz. Actually, I guess maybe a better way is to group them under Latin!
