Muddie!
Last Saturday, I suddenly had an “inspiration” to cook muddie. I’ve done blue swimmers before but not these brown giants.
Didn’t know what to expect but it was worth a try.
Bought 2 muddies from Giant. And they only cost S$18, which was relatively cheaper compared to having it at the restaurant

Do you know that the humane way of “preparing the crabs” is to freeze them in the freezer for 15 mins before chopping them up? That will make the crab inactive and doesn’t struggle much. *shiver*
XXL Muddie!

Before and After

Wanted to make Chilli Crab but didn’t have 60% of the ingredients. So I “invented” my own recipe (means I used whatever I can find in the fridge) and it turned out to be GOOD!
4 days later, Don said he missed the crabs and wanted to eat crabs again. This time, he said he wanted to try to prepare and cook them.
His own recipe – Steam crab with gingers and shallots

Man….it was good!
I am a big fan of green shallot and coriander – hence the big bunch as garnish.
“Hey doctor, are we supposed to eat so many crabs in a week?” After licking the last drop of the soup.
“Er…actually no. Hehehe..And yup, gotta watch our cholesterol.”
“…”
