Mom brought some of my grandparents’ wedding pictures from home. She wanted me to “digitalise” it.

Millions of emotions and thoughts flashed through my head. You know..everything seems so perfect and blissful. Who would have thought about the challenges and uncertainties that happen AFTER the wedding?

My grandparents are not a “golden couple”, who always hold each other’s hands when they walk. In fact, I have not seen them holding hands before. But, they stay with each other till today, despite their differences in interest and family background. Why does it seems so hard now?

My grandfather was and is still handsome. He was a Judo black belt, a good ballroom dancer and played snooker well. He has a picture of him doing Judo throw, which I MUST dig it out, scan it, enlarge it 20x, print and frame it!

A beautiful picture indeed. How come no one takes picture like this anymore?

Grandma is so demure and beautiful as always. Some said I have her eyes. (Personally, I think my eyes are bigger..:P)
Oh! It suddenly strikes me that she wore a western wedding gown! Was it usual back then??

Grandpa’s super classic Volvo. Mom still remembers travelling in that car when she was young.

Grandma said that he used to drive his convertible to Singapore. And she wore a head scarf with an oversized sunnies. How cool was that??!!

My grandfather’s 80th birthday is coming. Hopefully my boss can approve my leave so that I can fly back to be with him and the rest of my family. *pray hard*
