I went to XXX bank for ATM card replacement this morning (yeah..lost my card and found out only 1 day later..great..).

While getting it replaced, I was asked if I was interested in some investment and insurance plans. I nodded because I am always interested in investments. So I was taken to see a senior relationship manager at a cubicle…

There he was..sitting amidst fengshui crystal ball, chinese red packets and coins sticking on his calculators.

He: Miss Thian, what plans are you interested in?
Me: Er..I just wanted to find out more about your insurance and saving plan because mine is expiring soon..

Then he explained how the plan worked. Obviously, the plan takes 15 years and it covers my DEATH.

Me: Er..15 years is too long for me! I don’t even know if I would stay in Singapore for that LONG!
He: I see. I don’t see a ring on your finger…
Me: 0_0 !!??!!!
He: ..You must be single.
Me: *smiled sheepishly, still thinking what it has to do with my saving plans..* Er…yup! Still single.
He: Mm..You look very young! You must be around my age.
Me: *Observing his look real close and counting his wrinkles..* Oh..Really??
He: Yeah…I am 28. You must be…er..may be 27, 28?

*Wrong move…Never ever ‘over-estimated’ a lady’s age. The formula is always ‘age that you guessed – 5 years’

Me: Er..I am actually much younger than that.

He: *surprised* Really??!! Wow..you looked…er…very mature.

*mature = old*

Me: *feel like pulling the coins off his calculator* Er..Ok..
He: It must be the way you talk and carry yourself.
Me: *yeah right mr. relationship manager..too late for that!* Yeah..I have to, otherwise my students will climb onto my head. *grin*

Anyway, the good thing was, my replacement fee was waived..:D
