For the very first time…
I “rolled” down the stage, like a HUGE POTATO!
It was our last rehearsal last night. After the first scene, the entire hall was in pitch dark for changing props. As I was rushing to exit the stage to get changed, I couldn’t see the stairs. Missed it, and rolled all the way down to the bottom…in TOTAL DARKNESS.
It must be funny for the audience because they could only hear the “BANG! BOOM! WHAM!” in total darkness without able to see what actually was happening.
The good thing was, I was in a fetus position as I was rolling down. Only bruises on my knees and arms. (at least no bruise on my face!)
I don’t know if I should laugh when Don joked:”HAHA…Good thing was you fell during the rehearsal already. That means you probably wouldn’t fall AGAIN during the actual day itself.”
I hope he is right, if the theory of “What is done, is done and will never happen again” works in this situation.
