A weird bus ride
I took a bus to meet Watson yesterday and it just happened that I bumped into the same bus driver as the day before. At first I didn’t notice it was the same bus driver. As I sat down, I felt that someone was looking at me. After 3 minutes, when I accidentally looked at his rearview mirror, then I noticed that the driver had been looking at me. Of course my natural reaction was to smile at him.
After we reached at the interchange, I walked to the front door to tap my card. He asked me where I stayed and where I was from. Then he asked for my PHONE NUMBER! Then he quickly explained the reason why he wanted my phone number (may be he saw my shocking expression). He said he had a car and he can fetch me to wherever I go if I am afraid to take a bus. In a split second, I just had to think of an excuse for not giving my phone number. So stupidly, I just replied that I wasn’t a local.
Actually I think his intention is pretty good. But nowsday, we just can’t trust any stranger, can we? Probably if it is yesteryear, when people are not as bad as now, I will probably give him my number. But then, still…I might have a second thought. Anyway, I really do appreciate his kindness. Probably because of my ‘fragile’ and ‘vulnerable’ look during the bus ride that made him offered me a private ride…hehehe
