A dramatic day

So I was working at my cubicle as usual, then suddenly, I got a call from the general office. She asked me to go down to collect a ‘hang boo-kae’. After I put down the phone then I realised I didn’t understand what she wanted me to pick up, but I went down anyway. So when I reached at the counter, the clerk handed me a BIG bouquet of flowers (it has my favourite flowers – lillies!) Then the other clerks screamed and smelled and touched my flowers. I was speechless at that time because it happened so sudden, just like in the movie.
I quickly carried the bouquet and walked back to my office. Guess what, when I walked past a huge crowd of students and they were all turning back and looked at me. (at my flowers rather) I can feel blood rushing to my head and I just wish I can fly instead of walk! And
when I reached my office, my colleagues were screaming, even the guys too! We gathered around and chatted about this.
What my colleagues told was I will not get this kind of ‘treatment’ after married. My buddy said I will probably get a mandarin orange plant for my birthday (so it can be used for chinese new year). Then fake flowers at the following years.
This statement was also verified by my married colleagues (ladies). How sad..then I joked that I will not get married then…since the life before marriage is so much better. Hahahah…
Anyway, this moment will be an unforgettable one because it made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
