I was in the MRT the other day. Because it was a long and boring journey, people tend to eavesdrop at others’ conversations if one, 1) does not play with his/her mobile phone 2) does not have mp3 player 3) does not read book/newspaper.
So the best thing to do is to eavesdrop.
It was so happened that I didn’t have my boyfriend – iPod that evening. So I eavesdropped.
I heard the most bizarre conversation between 2 aunties. I know I shouldn’t eavesdrop..but I can’t help it!
Auntie A: My boy failed 2 subjects leh. Dunno what the teacher do one. Neh give homework one. Everyday (he) play game only.
Auntie B: Ya la. Sometimes dunno what the teacher do one. Thats why must go to good school mar. The teacher there better.
Wah!! It is also the teacher’s fault if your kid cannot go to toilet lar??!!
Everything is also teacher’s fault. No wonder the government is working hard to promote teaching as career. Obviously, it is not easy to be a teacher. If his/her student fails a subject, imagine how many people he/she has to answer to. The headmaster/principal, superiors, the parents and etc.
But the last thing is to question the student’s learning attitude.
Skipping class and not submitting work is also teacher’s fault! Best…
Everyday play computer game is ALSO teacher’s fault ah? Parents and kids have no fault lah?!
And I am not just referring to primary and secondary school kids.
Of course, there are also teachers who don’t do their jobs properly.
It is so easy to complain, so easy to push the blame to others. Why don’t they reflect upon their own attitudes before questioning others?
And to auntie A: since the teacher is not good and UP TO YOUR STANDARD, why don’t you keep your son at home and do home-schooling? Why not use your gossiping and shopping time for your son instead? He is probably playing DOTA now as you are complaining about the teacher.
