First highlight of the trip – Yes, I was offered a job when I was visiting my sister in KL. How cool is that? I should be reporting in at 7 Nov (because I need some times to move my butt down) but I have already started working on some assignments, which is good so I can tune myself in earlier and won’t be panicked at the first day of work. Well, lots of reading and communication to do because I have to know the company from top to bottom in order to do well in my job.

Second highlight – A friend (he doesn’t want his name to disclose) took me to for the BEST TIRAMISU I have ever eaten in my life. I am a big fan of Tiramisu and he took me to The Westin at Starhill. I love the design of the restaurant and its open kitchen concept. The Tiramisu was made upon order and I guess this was one of the reasons why it tasted so good and fresh. (I forgot to take a picture because I was drooling and can’t spare it for another second). It is so creamy and I was melted straightaway when it touches my mouth. And the layer with coffee syrup was so moist and bitterly sweet. The syrup just ran down to my throat in each bite..YUMM!!!! Then I had this silly grin on my face the whole time…it was like I am falling in love again and again. Man…if a guy proposed to me at that time, I would just say ‘YES’ for hundreds times…

Since I came back from Australia, I always felt this constant sore on my waist when I walked too long. So my mom decided to take me to visit a chiropractor. I was told by my aunt that it was very painful when ’setting the bones’ but I knew I can endure the pain…(no matter what it takes)

The chiropractor looked younger than I thought…probably in his early 30’s. He examined my legs and spine. He asked me if I fell on my back few months ago. I was astonished and nodded my head. I did fall on my back in March this year. He said my spine had become an ’s’ and it had to be ‘aligned’ before it becomes worse. He also mentioned that my ’s’ spine has also caused stomach bloating, headache, shoulder ache, chest pain (lack of oxygen and blood circulation) and etc. If I don’t get it fixed, I might even suffer excruciating pain on my pelvic bone for 10 MONTHS when I am PREGNANT! Oh dear….I definitely don’t want to go through that. I want to be a happy mom!!!

Anyway, he ‘twisted’ and pressed my joints on my feet, knees, thighs,spin
e, pelvic bone, arms, hands and fingers. I felt like a TWISTED PUPPETS! I must admit that it was very painful when he ‘aligned’ my feet and pelvic bone. There were times when I can’t stand the pain, the chiropractor asked me to breathe like how a pregnant lady does the contraction breathing. Man…I felt like I was going to give birth….

I still have to go back for a few sessions and he promised me that I will feel lesser pain after each session. *cross my fingers* Oh…I measured my height before i visit him and guess what, I am taller by 0.5 cm now…after the visit that is…=)

I just have to take care of my spine now. *annoyed* Sitting, walking, standing….feeling so fragile and so worried that my spine will bend again. *argh*

What struck me to write this entry was a ‘vegetarian deluxe pie’ from Singapore Airline.

Well, I never like vegetarian food since I was young. It is because I am not a vegan, the idea of eating the ‘fake’ fish and meat really annoys me. You know..fake sausages with artificial flavourings, cake without EGGS….But I do admire the way they make those ‘fake’ meat because they look….SO REAL! It is not that I don’t like their vegetables. I just don’t like the ‘fake’ meats that’s all.

In fact, I love eating vegetables so much that I have 70% vegetables in my meal. My mom used to take us to a vegetarian restaurant once in a blue moon but I always frowned and cringed. And of course for the past 5 years, I had never stepped into vegetarian restaurants because I just screamed my head off. Hehe I know I was being unreasonable and childish but hey, I have my preference just like everybody else.

Anyway, until one day, something (or perhaps someone) has changed my life ever since. I had a date with a guy who took me to a vegetarian restaurant at the FIRST DATE! I must admit that I was pretty shocked when I stepped into the vegetarian restaurant. No one ever takes me to a VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT on a date!

And later on, more suprises coming up when I learnt that this guy was actually a vegan. I was a little uncomfortable but still I finished up my meal as usual.*good girl*

After the date, I talked to my mom about the whole idea of being a vegan but she laughed at me hysterically! (ya..may be I looked like a clown to her) She said only a non-family member can make me eat what I don’t like. And she made me think when she said if the same dish was served in a ‘non-vegan’ restaurant, I would have eaten it without any complain.

Man…That is soo bloody true!

So when we were flying to Singapore, my mom wanted to try their vegetarian meal. I frowned at her instantly but gave her a silly smile after that. So she had a mushroom pie and she made me took a bite. In my brain: Well…not bad…still, I think I prefer my ‘normal’ pie.

When we were flying back, I knew that I have to change my bloody attitude so I requested for a vegetarian meal last minute. And guess what, for the very first time, I finished my pie! =)

For now, I am trying to accept vegetarian food…erm..I mean those fake meat. But if I have a choice, I won’t choose to have vegetarian food but I also won’t make a big fuss if I

DO go to a vegetarian restaurant. *wink* I think I am getting better…=) Hooray~

I was in Singapore again 1 week after my previous entry.This is another place highly recommended by me and Watson. He took me for lunch at this restaurant which served Singapore hawker buffet. The setting was very good and I love how they design the restaurant with rich-colour wood and glass. So posh and yet..so simple. I love the desserts though.

There were so many types of desserts such as the nyonya kueh, soups, delicacies from different races and etc. They served Malay, Chinese, Indian and Nyonya cuisines as well. We sat there for hours and I really enjoyed every single bit. No wonder it was so crowded…and luckily Watson made the reservation. =)

Went to take my mom home after her seminar by Leonard Drake at E & O hotel. You won’t miss the ballroom where they had the seminar because you can hear ladies chit-chatting from far, and oh yes, the perfumes. I followed my ’senses’ to track down my mom. It was very crowded with ladies smelling good, high heels and branded hand bags, buying products and signing up facial courses.

I can’t help it but to start thinking for myself. If I am their age, probably I am as eager looking for ways to bring back my radiant skin. Probably they won’t even mind spending hundreds or thousands of dollars as long as the products/technologies can bring back their youth. Mm…

“Hey, your mom has just left..” said the therapist. And so I went out to look for my mom and found her waiting at the main entrance. “Wow..mom, you look..er…great! Radiant and…er…DIFFERENT!” She was happy and said they applied a very expensive capsule on her face. Ah…no wonder..=)

After I reached home, I quickly put on a facial mask and swore to myself that I have to take EXTRA good care on my skin. No more working late at night, more vegs and fruits, more water, sunscreen and more EXERCISE!
